OLI for PIPESIM is a cooperation between Schlumberger and OLI.
OLI Engine: PIPESIM PVT File is the OLI component in this cooperation and it is available through OLI.
The OLI Engine: PIPESIM PVT File enables a facility within OLI Studio: ScaleChem that specifies the creation of at PVT File that can be read by PIPESIM. In this way, clients of PIPESIM can track scale appearance and disappearance lines within sections of pipe.
The PVT file generated by OLI contains scaling tendency and solid flow rates as a function of T & P. What our OLI Engine- PIPESIM users typically do is that they plug in our PVT file into the PIPESIM program to provide a boundary line. If the operations cross the line then scales are possible, if the operations stay below that boundary line, then the environment is safe to operate without scale-possibility.
