Extreme Value Statistics (EVS) is a feature within the OLI Studio: Corrosion Analyzer that can calculate the remaining service life of industrial systems that are subject to localized corrosion. Here, the remaining service life is determined by an extreme parameter value, such as the maximum corrosion depth, or minimum time to failure.

The key question to answer in advance is where and when corrosion damage will occur. By answering this question accurately, equipment may be serviced during scheduled down time, thereby avoiding costly, unscheduled down time.

EVS can calculate the remaining asset life by the extrapolation of data obtained in short-term experiments (within one month) to longer periods of time (up to many years) and theoretically, to infinity.

OLI Studio: Corrosion Analyzer (includes EVS) is the product to request in order to work with EVS.
