What does n/a mean in the report?

Question: Sometimes in a calculation output, the tag "n/a" will appear such as in the following example. What does this mean?

NA in report.png

Answer: To fully understand this report, you must also realize what a scaling tendency means. You can find more details here: Scaling Tendencies. In short, a scaling tendency is a thermodynamic probability that a solid will form. If less than 1.0 then there is no thermodynamic driving force to create the solid phase. If greater than 1.0 then there is a thermodynamic driving force to create a solid.

When the scaling tendency is less than 1.0 (and no driving force to create the solid phase) then the induction time is greater than 720 hours. As you can see in this image the induction time for CaSO4.2H2O (Gypsum) is "n/a" which means the induction time is more than 720 hours. CaCO3 (Calcite) is much less at 0.545 minutes with a scaling tendency greater than 1.0.
