Overview

You may receive an error message that looks similar to the following image:

Error15-NewSecurity.png

This error message is a catch-all error message for instances when the security module fails and we cannot fully determine why it failed. Here are a series of possible causes and solutions.

Hardware (USB) key is missing or unplugged

This message will be displayed on older versions of the software if the USB key is missing, unplugged or access to the USB port has been disabled.

To resolve this issue, plug in the USB hardlock key and ensure the red light is illuminated.

Change in License - downgrade from a network version

In some cases your copy of the OLI Software was used in a network environment. This means you had a serial number referred to as a "Client Serial Number." This type of serial number requires no hardware drivers and only needs the location of the the computer hosting the OLI Network License Manager.

For some reason you are now using a stand-alone security solution which involves a Hardlock USB key. The new serial number requires hardware drivers to support the new USB key.

To resolve this issue click on the Protection Key Tools mini-tab and then click the Repair Drivers button. This will install the drivers necessary to run the program.
